2021 started in a similar manner to 2020 with restrictions preventing us deliver our ‘normal’
markets.
As the year continued and restrictions eased, we were able to start to deliver some of our much missed outdoor markets. All located in spacious outdoor locations with plenty of space for social distancing allowing a safe outdoor shopping experience.
While there were some changes to our ‘normal’ markets to allow us to meet government guidance we have slowly reintroduced changes bringing us back towards normal as the changes in guidance have allowed us.
2020 saw a great increase in support for homegrown producers and makers as we can see this has continued with shoppers supporting our local traders, designer makers, food producers and artists, and we have saw this fantastic support continue into 2021.
Our markets have allowed communities, visitors and micro businesses come together in a safe outdoor setting and we are delighted to have been able to support so many small NI businesses throughout the first part of this year.
We’ve hosted markets at the Ballycastle Seafront, Benone Tourist Complex, Glenarm Castle at the Tulip Festival and Dalriada Fest, and Carrickfergus Castle at The Siege of Carrick Event.
We havn't been able to accomodate every interested trader so far this year due to restrictions in size, but we've made an effort to accomodate new traders wherever possible and keep some variety in the line up. We’d like to give a shout out to all of the 105 traders that have attended our markets so far this year;
