We were delighted to find out that we had won the Causeway Coast and Glens People of the Year Award 2019, for our contribution to Tourism and Hospitality at a recent awards Ceremony held in the Royal Court Hotel in Portrush.
This award was to recognise an individual or organisation who, through their activities, has demonstrated outstanding achievement in championing tourism & hospitality in the Causeway Coast & Glens area, through innovation, promotion and campaigning.
Nominees were judged against the following criteria: (a) how innovative are their activities, how original are their actions
(b) how great an impact have their actions had
(c) how inspirational is their drive
(d) how have their actions brought the area’s tourism to the attention of a non-local audience in a positive way
(e) outline their achievements, recently, or to date
To make the night even more special, we were delighted for Ballycastle, who saw two additional community members taking home awards for achievements and contributions to the area, including Paul Kerrigan for Community Development Person of the Year, and Kevin Mc Gowan, for Inspirational Educator of the year!
